www.ucas.com - the clearinghouse for colleges and universities in the United Kingdom. If you are going to apply to university in the UK, you will most likely be using this website a lot.

www.princetonreview.com - a comprehensive website that allows you to search for colleges as well as explore other areas of interest such as careers, testing, financial aid.

www.college-visits.com - College Visits is one of many groups that organization college visit tours for high school students throughout different parts of the United States.

TESTING

TOEFL  

www.ets.org - sign up for the TOEFL here. Most colleges and universities will ask for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) of all international students whose first language is not English. Some will waive the exam if you are an IB English HL student, or if you have attended an English-speaking school for many years. Other will not. You can either take the computer-based test (TOEFL CBT) or the internet-based test (TOEFL iBT).

SAT

www.collegeboard.com - sign up for the SAT here. ALSO - research colleges, look up majors, and practice for the SAT exam. Recommendation - sign up for the SAT question of the day. An email is sent to you everyday with a SAT question. The more exposure you have to the questions, the more likely you are to improve your score on the exam.
