The IB Program is a two-year pre-university course of study designed to foster international understanding as well as to facilitate mobility of students in an increasingly global community. The IB program is a comprehensive curriculum, leading to examinations for students in grades 11 and 12. Students may sit for IB examinations in a single course or prepare the entire curriculum for the IB diploma (separate from, but credited toward the ASM diploma). The course of study for the diploma is well-balanced; it requires six selected subject areas in addition to an extended essay, a Theory of Knowledge course, and participation in extra-curricular Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) Program.
