In the science program, children learn the skills and knowledge that are fundamental to an appreciation for science and scientists. They study aspects of life, physical and earth sciences. In the course of their study, students engage in observation, measurement, interpretation, and prediction, using the investigatory approach with “hands-on” activities.
In social studies students learn about the geography, history, government, economics, and culture of the world around them through specially designed units of study with an emphasis on the United States and Spain. Numerous field trips are planned by classroom teachers using community resources to enhance social studies and other classroom activities.
