Admissions Requirements

Students and teachers holding plants grown in science class.

Once an inquiry is submitted on the website, you will be given access to complete the application.

In order to process your application Supporting Requirements must be completed.

Please note that all teacher recommendations are specifically designed by ASM. We invite you to send them to the corresponding teachers via your checklist in OpenApply after you have submitted your application.

All applicants will be required to upload full immunization records. 

There is a non-refundable application fee of €250 per child.

Completing the application process does not guarantee a place at the school.

K1, 2 and 3

PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN

  • Applicants for K1, K2, and K3 must turn three, four, or five years old before the first of September.
  • Applicants must be toilet-trained.  

Requirements:

  • ASM confidential teacher recommendation form if a student is attending a day school.  
  • School reports if applicable.

Families who are requesting learning support services please provide:

  • Psychological assessments with recommended accommodations.

Lower School

Grades 1-5

Requirements:

  • Academic records from the past three years in English. 
  • The most recent standardized test results (if available). For example, the Stanford Achievement Test, Iowa Test of Basic Skills, California Test of Basic  Skills, WISC, Woodcock-Johnson, NWEA MAP Test, ERB WRAP, etc.
  • ASM confidential teacher recommendation forms Grades 1-5 (classroom teacher). 
  • ASM English Writing Sample for Grades 2-5 (only). It must be handwritten.

Families who are requesting learning support services please provide:

  • Psychological assessments with recommended accommodations.
  • Individual Education Plan (if applicable).
  • 504 plan (if applicable).

Middle School

Grade 6-8

Students whose first language is not English should take the Test of English as a Foreign Language, TOEFL Junior or a Cambridge English Language Assessment. The level required is B2.

Requirements:

  • Academic records from the past three years in English. 
  • The most recent standardized test results (if available). For example, the Stanford Achievement Test, Iowa Test of Basic Skills,   California Test of Basic  Skills, WISC, Woodcock-Johnson, NWEA MAP Test, ERB WRAP, etc.
  • ASM confidential teacher recommendation forms (Math, English, Guidance Counselor). 
  • ASM English Writing Sample. It must be handwritten.

Families who are requesting learning support services, please provide:

  • Psychological assessments with recommended accommodations.
  • Individual Education Plan (if applicable).
  • 504 plan (if applicable).

Upper School

Grades 9-12

Before the start of the school year, an OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT for students in Grades 10-12 and final grades for students in Grades K3-9 must be sent directly from the current school to admissions@asmadrid.es.
