When did you know you wanted to be a teacher?

Consciously in my third year of university. Subconsciously when I got my first job in high school teaching studio arts to kids at a museum.

What do you want students to take away from your class more than anything else?

Curiosity. And having had one lab that they loved.

What do you love about teaching at ASM? 

The gratitude and appreciation of staff, students, and parents. It's so welcoming!

What are you proudest of in your life?

My son. And some of the little things I do like when I did fashion shows or made my own wedding dress or did an overnight solo trip.

Imagine a day with no responsibilities, how would you spend it?

Lying on the beach and playing in the waves with my family or if I was lucky and in Canada during the summer, I'd be sailing.
