Lower School Learning Commons
The Lower School Library is central to learning at ASM. The goal of the library program is to foster and develop a love of reading for all students and enable them to become critical thinkers who are effective and responsible users of ideas and information. We are committed to maintaining a current and relevant collection of print and electronic resources that support the needs and interests of students, staff and the community both at school and at home.
Borrowing guidelines
Like in many areas of ASM, Covid-19 has forced us to adjust our policies and procedures. Until further notice, students will come once a week in small groups to check out books. The books will remain in their classrooms and be used to support reading and inquiry. We encourage parents, however, to ask their children about what they checked out each week as a way to better understand their interests and support their exploration and growth as readers.
Volunteering
Our library welcomes volunteers. However, as parents are not allowed on campus due to COVID our volunteer program is currently suspended.
