Don Quijote Park

Don Quijote Park opened in early 2023, and in 2025, the School was awarded its second OPAL (outdoor play and learning) Platinum Award. This 4,000-square-meter learning environment is part of ASM’s Play Landscape along with Sancho Panza Playground and a field for ball sports.

At ASM, we believe that high-quality play can make a big difference in the lives of our students. Play at ASM is freely chosen, and children have many loose parts at their disposal, letting their imaginations run wild whilst also honing their entrepreneurial and collaborative skills. Every day, children from Grades 1 to 5 (ages 6 to 10) play together and are in close contact with nature. Children in EC 3-4 and EC 5 also play in Don Quijote Park during one of their two daily play times.

Don Quijote Park represents the most current thinking in play design, is the first of its kind in Spain, and stands out as a leading playground concept among schools in Europe.
